  Eating taro with KAVA [VUV100 & VUV150] (May 2024) Quiet bar, not too busy. KAVA is KAVA. Taro is simply puffed and delicious.

  Came here to get kava to try. Were there around 4pm+ so not many people basically. Due to just finished lunch we bought small bottle of kava (300 vatu) home to try later. Not bad.

  As tourists, we were all looking for local experiences as much as possible. Having a private driver that's bringing us around, he brought us here (amongst many other spots), hunting for Kava. Kava is a local drink made of roots of a plant, that is non alcoholic, but gives a certain buzz when taken in larger quantities. It's not expensive, 100VT a shot (assuming this is tourist price), but probably much cheaper for the entire 1.5 litres bottle. Sitting here having a shot of the drink, the locals were also talking us through briefly how Kava is made, striking up some conversations in English, and checking in on us time to time to make sure that we were alright.
