::I highly recommend staying at Noda GuestHouse! The rooms are basic but comfortable, the meals are delicious, and the location is incredible: right across from the beach (5 meters) and the waterfall (5 minutes on foot). I had a great stay! Thank you.

::Unforgettable experience at Noda Guesthouse and in Pentecost! Skip the 70K VUV day trip for Nagol, spend a few days on the island instead and connect with the community. We stayed 5 days at Noda Guesthouse and it was a truly special experience. The host Silas is incredible, former government minister and now community leader, often took us along to local events and villages (for free!), giving us a good look into Pentecost life. The guesthouse is simple but comfortable, solar-powered, with Wi-Fi in the common area. Meals were home-cooked, mostly local food, and very affordable (only 1000 VUV/day for 3 meals!). The guesthouse was hit by the last cyclone (like many places on the island) so it was rebuilt. There are no bungalows anymore as you might see in the old pictures, but rather a one floor structure with many rooms. The guesthouse is located in Waterfall village, right next to a very cute beach. It is not a white sand beach but it is very pleasant, clean and the water is crystal clear and calm. There is quite a big reef right offshore, 3 minutes walk from the guesthouse. While the corals are not that impressive (they were also hit by cyclones), there are so many colorful fish. There are also dugongs and dolphins regularly visiting the beach. Nagol: The ceremony takes place every Saturday from April to June, but flights from Pentecost to Port Vila leave Saturday morning, so we couldnāt see the main event. Sometimes there's a tourist performance on Wednesdays (for day-trippers), but that didnāt happen during our stay. Fortunately, Silas is well-connected and managed to organize a private Nagol ceremony just for us on a Tuesday! There were fewer jumpers than on a Saturday, but still it was a sight to behold! Cost: 12,000 VUV per person (same as regular entrance fee on a Saturday). We even stayed in Larimat village (northeast Pentecost), which was unforgettable! There was no guesthouse, just a spontaneous homestay with the chiefās family. The community is mostly self-sufficient, growing crops and selling kava. They arenāt a formal ākustomā village, but they maintain many traditional practices. Michelin, our host, said she would love to have a guesthouse and host more tourists in the future. Silas can help arrange a stay. Locals took us to a gorgeous river-meets-sea area with waterfalls and swim spots. Later, we were hosted in the Nakamal, saw traditional cooking with hot stones, and had the strongest kava weāve ever had, one cup and we were buzzed, legit hangover the next day! If you're adventurous, curious, and want more than just a tourist package, go to Pentecost. Itās a journey, but 100% worth it. Talk to Silas, he can help with everything.

::If you want warm and welcoming, to be greeted by the sea in the morning and night and walk to the waterfall for a swim in less than 10 minutes. Then this is the place for you Auntie Irene will cook you island food straight from her garden and be up well before you to put the kettle on and get you a light breakfast. I had the most wonderful time highly recommend it.
