The location and service was to die for. The rooms were a let down. The light in the hall way was not working. No microwaves. The view was amazing. The staff were soo amazing at the restaurant. We would like to come back again but maybe stay at the new built rooms tht we saw.

Very homey hotel! The staff were warm, kind, and super friendly. I stayed in a twin room with air-con and a mini kitchen. (*Note: Wi-Fi is generally weak across Vanuatu.) Every morning, the staff brought us breakfast, and the cleaning service was excellent. They also helped a lot with booking tours, calling drivers, and answering our daily questions. Itโ€™s not too far from the main area of Port Vila. I really loved the friendly, cottage-like vibes here. I felt warm and sad when I leave here after my trip.

Like many resorts in Port Villa Poppies would have been a nice resort 20 years ago but seems to have been run down, the resort pics look fantastic but in reality everything needs some tender loving care. Wifi was pretty much useless, Tv didnt work, you cant swim or snorkel in the lagoon (polluted and has been for years) so all you can pretty much do is swim or kayak (just dont fall in!). We had a few meals there, and nothing was great in that department and expensive, the worse would have been an ice cream dessert that was literally 3 blobs of a wierd icey vanilla ice cream for 1200 vtu. To get out of poppies requires a good 400 metres up a steep hill. Most of this could be fixed with a 200 dollar starlink connection, and some room renovations

We changed unexpectedly to Poppys from another villa during our holiday, and they welcomed us warmly. We were glad we switched! They let us bag drop early and check in asap. There are three pools, and a nice lagoon beach although no swimming in the lagoon due to pollution sadly. A big beautiful tree had a deck in it with a nice view over the lagoon. Loved the cute little cat that lived at Poppys too, I hope people look after her. We walked to the markets one day and itโ€™s a hilly walk. We used our hire car all other times. The location was quiet and peaceful. Staff were so lovely and kind to us. Really enjoyed our stay here.
