  Basic, but authentic. The community is heavily challenged by the devastation from last year's cyclone. The people, however, are absolutely gorgeous!

  Anchored in the bay and did immigration etc at the yacht club. Unfortunately suffered in the recent cyclone, so not working. People v friendly and obliging, supplied us with fruit and greens as well as organising a volcano tour for us.

  Great views, quiet, friendly village. Very basic accommodation, not much electricity, but you wouldn't stay here if you wanted the fancy stuff. Preferred the food in other parts of the village.

  We visited with the village chief and made arrangements to go see the Volcano.

  Swung on the hook two nights in 2004 when it was even a bit more rustic, but before Pam blew through. Had dinner at the Yacht Club. Fives stars not for amenities, but for friendliness and just that it exists at all.
