::Sails beach house has given me everything I wanted in a place and more. When I first went through the door, I was awestruck on how beautiful the place was, the photos on their website did not do it the proper justice it deserves! The house is massive— it had three spacious rooms and three bathrooms. The kitchen was also completely decked out. The outdoor area had the most cozy hammocks and even a bbq area! And when I opened the fridge, there was even a bottle of champagne for us! Before we even arrived, Nellie, the owner gave us such thorough information and great tips to the extent that we would've thought that we've been here before! Unlike many airbnb type accomodations, Nellie provided a comprehensive compendium and even personally messaged us to see if everything's okay. She even saved us from one time that we almost did not have transport to go home. She is just an absolute sweetheart and a wonderful host, I could not possibly thank her more. The caretaker, George, is an amazing guy. He arranged all of our transport, cleaning, cooking— you name it, anything you need, he can do it. His family was also so sweet. George went above and beyond in providing an amazing level of service. Although Sails is not in the main Santo island, it is directly facing the ocean so it is possible for your water taxi drop you off right in front of your house! Aore is a hidden gem and I'm glad that Sails is located there instead of the bustling city. There is a beach (with a swing!) as well as a swimming lagoon in the back of the house in case you ever want to go for a quick dip. We were also told that you would be able to see dugongs and turtles bob their heads if the tide is high! Sails also provided snorkeling gear in case you want to explore Aore from underwater, and is just sailing distance to the world war ii wrecks if you're keen to see some really unique underwater sights. And To Nellie - Thank you so much for making this whole trip magical for all of us in every way possible. We are so grateful that we stayed in Sails Beach House and could experience all of this. We are definitely coming back, we've fallen in love with Sails Beach House and all there is about Santo! I highly recommend Sails to anyone who is thinking of visiting Vanuatu, it is not only a house, it comes with a whole new experience. Come as a couple or as a family, even a group of friends, Sails Beach House can cater it all.

::When I first walked in Sails Beach House, it blew me away. I was thrown off my how beautiful the place is. Nellie (the owner) surely has every nook and cranny planned out as the whole place looked stunning! There were hammocks to relax outdoors and an al fresco dining area, absolutely perfect for the tropics. The rooms were also surprisingly spacious and was decorated beautifully. Another wonderful surprise is when I opened the fridge to discover that Nellie has left us a bottle of champers to pop open! Absolutely a blast to start my whole Vanuatu adventure. The house also had a private lagoon area and a beach right at the backyard. As we were located in Aore Island, every time we wanted to go to town, we had to ride a water taxi, so keep that in mind as you have to plan your travels in advance. They also come at a cost of 1,000VT per way and sometimes arrive in ‘island time’ so keep that into consideration. However, I realised shortly that this was one of the highlights of my trip and now— I really do miss riding a boat to and fro my home daily! During high tides, the boat will even dock right at your backyard! A completely unique experience that you might not experience anywhere else. Nellie is an absolute sweetheart and had everything ready and set before I even arrived in Vanuatu. She even had a comprehensive compendium that thoroughly tells us everything and anything about Santo so that we’re well prepared for the whole trip. We could arrange our activities right from the comfort of our home as both Sails & Aore had so much to offer. George, our caretaker, is a complete legend. He organised all the little things and checked up on us every now and then to see if everything’s going swell. I would definitely recommend Sails Beach House as one of the best places to stay in Santo, no matter what type of party you are bringing, and surely would stay here again when I go back to Vanuatu.
