::The reef is great, location is amazing. Beach huts are dilapidated with minimal amenities,, but there is Wi-Fi. There is a dilapidated generator that periodically turns off, and without electricity, the plumbing and fans do not work Free bottled water is terrible: they are refilled from an unknown source, the bottles and caps are not washed, but this is, in principle, to be expected. The price is too high

::Very nice people there however not much to do. Constant power outages and also power turned off around 10 every night. Water would also not be on a lot of the time.

::Isolated beach huts, basic and run down. Good things: Location is amazing. Staff are kind and great cooks, prices are about 1500 vatu for lunch and between 2000-3000 for dinner (depending on chicken vs lobster) with two options for each meal. The reef is great, healthy and right there. There is wifi. Lots of wild life - we were lucky enough to see baby turtles! The not-so-great things: rooms are run down, they just haven't been well maintained, water equipment is broken (reading other reviews this has been a problem for a while and not resolved as yet) - broken kayaks and SUP without the correct paddle (you really cant use a canoe paddle to SUP). The big problems: we were waiting at the dock for an hour to be picked up and taken to the accommodation, this seemed to upset our transfer driver more than us as he reported it was an common occurrence. The boat to aore resort was waiting for it's guests and in all honesty it would have been better to get that boat and then picked up by car from there. The place is powered by a generator which frequently stops throughout the day. Without electricity there is no running water in the bungalows which is very frustrating. This will run out every night which also means the ineffective ceiling fan also stops working. You need to keep the windows open in order to have any air movement at all, so in the morning you wake up super early as it's so light and can see inside your fellow travelers rooms. It's not the privacy one might imagine when booking this place. I suppose worst of all and really unforgivable is the drinking water which is supplied for free but in re-filled bottles from n unidentified source (broken seals, dirty lids and spouts) which means there is nothing you can do to ensure you are drinking clean water. You have no access to drinking water other than this, and who knows if other guests have drunk directly from the bottles that are being given to you, as there aren't any glasses to use in the rooms. All in all its a nice place to visit but I wouldn't spend too long. We had three nights and it was more than enough. My main complaint is that it's not priced to what it is (far too expensive) and not transparently advertised. I'm sure some people would absolutely love it, but I was just disappointed. You can access mainland Santo by boat to do trips/sightseeing etc but need to arrange this the day before which means you can't check the weather and then make decisions whether you would rather snorkel the reef there (great when it's calm, murkier when choppy) or go into town on the day.
